Say Alhamdulillah!

Be contented.

Life can’t always offer us the best thing, even when we actually work our tails off just to get the best result out of it. That's why people say it is an open path where anything could happen. Some people might face extreme tremendous adversities, a bit more than some others or vice versa. But the thing is that, every one of us has our own route to happiness and success. Be it a simple one or a difficult one; all those travails are meant to build inner resilience, to keep us moving forward no matter how hard the life is.

Speaking for myself, my past has always been a great source of tribulation. Reality once hit me so hard that I felt like giving up. You know, like that’s it; there is just no more room for happiness. Stop doing whatever I am doing, things like that. But then I realized something. I forgot how to be grateful. I kept on ruminating my past, dreaming for surreal things. Yea I did keep that feeling for almost four years until I decided to turn over a new leaf and start my life anew.

We always come up with the best plan, the best idea but remember; Allah the Almighty is the best decider ever. He decides the best thing for all of us, whether or not we accept and like it. Be grateful and cherish every single thing in our life, because we just don’t know how long the thing would last. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.

Well nothing feels better than starting up the day with “Alhamdulillahi llazi ahyana ba’dama amatana wailahi nnusyur” or a mere “Alhamdulillah” because He actually grants us another chance to perform ibadah to Him. What if He decides to take our souls away the night before that, and so we are no longer able to perform ibadah on the next day? What if.

“Alhamdulillah”- all praise to Allah. Grab the chance to say it and say it like we really mean it. Feeling full and being satiated after having a scrumptious meal? Alhamdulillah *burps*. Getting good academic results after beating exam distress? Alhamdulillah *finally!*. Buying a new pair of pricey shoes or a brand new spendy handbag as self-rewards?  Alhamdulillah *cries because of the price*

Train ourselves to be thankful in every situation, even when it seems likely to be a bane more than a boon. In the event of losing our new phones somewhere maybe, for example. Heeeeeeeeee, alhamdulillah. Losing somebody we care and love? Alhamdulillah. Getting low marks for tests and quizzes? Alhamdulillah *whines* Thinking that I made a mistake by writing the aforementioned sentences? Alhamdulillah. And what are those Alhamdulillah for? For using your akal to think what you are supposed to think.

Dear folks, be grateful because He tests our faith. Be grateful because He brings us a step closer to Him through the tests. Be grateful because He keeps on reminding us about His existence. Be grateful because He loves us. Hence, He chooses us among the rest to be tested. Say Alhamdulillah for all the tests we have to endure. Say Alhamdulillah for every single thing He bestows on us. It might not seem fine in the first place, but bear in mind that He will eventually let us see the good side of it.

Someday, definitely.

p/s:

Be romantic and keep your love private peeps. "Alhamdulillah" sounds even more sincere when it's uttered silently. Allah SWT is Al-Sami', The All-Hearing and so, you don't need Twitter or Facebook whatsoever to communicate with Him. Talk directly without anyone knowing it. Like real lovers ^_^
