-Blogger's Corner-
So what is this Blogger's Corner all about?
Hmm, it's actually an entry that I purposely created to let you know more details about myself, but not in terms of private stuffs like contact number or something like that. It's just that I've a lot of thoughts playing in my mind lately, and the only way I could let it be freed from my small thinking box is to write it down, somewhere, so I choose this digital paper - blog.
What kind of thoughts?
Anything and everything. The thing is that, we can't think too much at the same time, unless we have the things organized very well like "Oh, today I wanna focus on my study. Tomorrow it's gonna be about the program that I should plan in advance for Rakan Muda Society. The day after it, I wanna think about the surprise birthday party for my friend Raymond.". I don't want this particular thought of posting the entry called "Blogger's Corner" hindering me from focusing on my study. You know, it's like when I'm revising Advanced Calculus subject, I keep on thinking of what I should write for my next entry. So here we go, I'm writing it! And I'm letting this thought out of my mind *yeah*
Alright, what encourages you to be a blogger? Do you consider yourself as an active blogger?
It's just a matter of interest I guess. I believe that everyone has something special that really sparks their interest in doing it. Some people might say they enjoy singing, and some others might say they enjoy dancing, or anything. As for me, writing is my passion despite of the fact that I don't have a knack for it. Speaking of being an avid blogger, I don't think I'm that active especially when it comes to writing whilst studying. My life is getting so frantic at the moment that I don't have an ample time to keep my blog updated.
I noticed that you've commenced on writing the entries in English rather than your own national language, Malay. Why is it so?
Sometimes we have to change the mainstream things that are too typical for us. I noticed most of Malaysian bloggers tend to write in Malay, and if I found one that writes in English, oh my, I'd be reading it for all day long. English is a part of me. I'm not good in it, be it for speaking purpose or writing purpose, I'm just lacking in it. You can find errors here and there, but the thing is that, when we are not good at something, we've gotta take a crack at making it better. In this case of my blog entries, I learnt a lot of things by writing them in English. I got to know the right spelling for a specific word, the correct grammar usage, and even some beautifully written idioms and proverbs that I had no idea what they were all about before. Frankly speaking, it takes more efforts (and time as well) for me to post an entry in English compared to the one in Malay. I've gotta double, triple check my grammar and the word selections so that I don't sound foolish to the people who actually read it.
It sounds like you underrate those people who make grammatical errors or any mistakes in writing or saying something in English.
No, not at all. As what I said earlier, if we are not good at something, we have to make something to make us good at doing it. I appreciate the art of writing or speaking by those non-native speakers or writers. English is not our primary language, so when it happens that someone is so flawless in using that secondary language, I do really look up to that person. I have a lot of friends that astonish me utterly with their ability in speaking or writing in another language. Nasif, Yaya, Imran (this guy is super-duper awesome) and Alia to name a few, are my friends that inspire me a lot to groom my writing skill as well as my speaking skill. When someone writes or speaks or even tweets in English, yea, I check for their grammar first instead of comprehending its meaning. And even when there is an error or a mistake in their sentences, I learn from it, and I try to avoid doing the same mistake. In learning process, we should never feel ashamed of doing mistakes. Mistakes are meant to make us better in the future, but with only one condition - we have to learn from the mistakes.
Upload a picture that you feel like showing it to the world out there and for sure the readers wanna know the reason of your choice, so tell us briefly about it.
What a keen picture, ain't it? Sorry for bragging guys :') That picture was snapped back in 2009 right after having our farewell party. So look at the bright expressions of those comely and lovely girls who had a great time pretending to be the bridesmaids of somebody (Whose wedding was it anyway?). Well, I just love the mood, the quality, the feeling, and everything in it. It feels like everything was well depicted in this simple picture and it has always been my favorite ever since.
