Tabib Batu?
2 hours drive turned to 4 instead, thanks to the heavy traffic (because I just can't blame the rain). Guess I had enough workout for my foot, playing with the accelerator and brake pedals all the way long. Well if you are familiar enough with Melaka roads, you would be crying imagining the traffic after those hectic working hours, what more on Friday. Imagine the chaotic small roads crammed with people, with cars going back to hometowns, to cities for berjimba whatnots.
We headed straight to Klebang upon reaching Melaka, purposely to have a quick grab of their famed coconut shake. But guess it was too late, the place was already closed by time we reached there. So we decided for an early dinner right away for everyone was hungry (and grumpy too) at that time.
Straight to the purpose of this post, we actually went to this very place named Perunding Perubatan at Durian Tunggal. You may google it, to be specific it is located at Batu 7 1/2 Kampung Gangsa. I would say it is eminent enough for its alternative treatment especially in removing kidney stones, despite of the fact that the tabib (called him that because he is not a doctor) is able to treat other chronic illness as well, like heart ailment, diabetes, high blood pressure, cyst, female problems et cetera.
Mami was once diagnosed having kidney stones few years back and I have no idea how big the stones were, but the doctor did advise her to remove it through surgery. Few days after that, our Tok Ngah brought Mami along for treatment at this tabib's place. Me being me, being incredulous about all kinds of alternative treatment; I started to question the credibility or better said, the truth of this you know, "treatment". Like, how on earth somebody could possibly remove something from the inside of your body, without any surgeries whatnots?
Guess what- he did that. He literally took the kidney stones out from Mami's body, simply by rubbing at her kidney (back parts) with his minyak something and, voila! The stones really appeared on his hand then. But I doubted it again, "Alaa mami, tipu lah. Mesti dia guna magic tu buat keluar batu. Tak mungkinlah keluar batu senang senang macam tu". Oh well, guess what (again)- we went to hospital for a checkup right after that treatment, and the stones had indeed disappeared!
Alhamdulillah but a greater Subhanallah! How on earth someone is bestowed that sort of super power to heal somebody just like that? I mean indeed, the power of healing is not because of him, the person, but because of Him, Allah the Almighty. But the fact is still there; the tabib actually helped to ease the path of that healing.
And back to reality, this is Mami's second treatment after years of not meeting him. It is just to check if there is any existence of that stones again, and yes there is, but it is now much more smaller than it used to be before.
Speaking of the price, yes they have their own specific price for every kind of treatment. Like our case this time around, it costs us RM270 for the kidney stones removal including their sort of "air tawar" and stuff. Bear in mind, extra charge is applied for extra medications that you have to take. But it is optional though, for people to take their medications. Like Mami and Abah (he had one too), they still have that kind of fear to simply consume this and that kind of medicine, so they just do not take it then.
Operating hours wise, ohmygawd did I tell you the place is kind of legendary here? It is always crammed full with people coming all the way from Selangor, Johor, Terengganu, Sabah- you name it. So people start taking number as early as 6AM (or perhaps before subuh time) and have to wait for their turns accordingly as they start working from 6AM till 1PM (only, yes). But we can actually pre-book an appointment manually in a book that he usually puts outside his house the night before the treatment.
And that is what we did- booked for an early appointment and we managed to get number 11 in the queue the next morning. Well if we did not do that, we were supposed to be number 42, when we tried getting a number at 6AM that morning itself. Imagine that. 42 people at 6AM, 75 people around 8AM - how about till 1PM? If every person has to pay at least RM100 per treatment, times it with 150 persons maybe, oh Allah! RM15,000 per day!
*Jaw dropped*
(Facepalms) Pardon me, I have just got carried away by the figures. Oh yes, you might want to stay overnight for the purpose of the treatment. Worry not, they have myriads choices of homestay nearby. Like us, we stayed at this very place called D'Seri Homestay and i would say it is more than comfortable to fit the family members accordingly. Plus point for this homestay is that it is just 3 minutes away (of walking distance) to the tabib's place.
Ending this post with one thought;
"Allah takkan pernah mengubah nasib seseorang melainkan Dia mengubah nasib dirinya sendiri." The same applies to our state of health, Allah would not make it better once we get sick, unless we try to make it better on our own. Getting proper treatment is one of the ways to make it better, and that is not only limited to modern type of treatment. We can have a try on its alternatives, as long as it does not involve any kinds of element that might suggest syirik or anything against Islam teachings whatnots. There is no harm in trying after all (except for investing money).
P.s. After hours of pujuk-ing kakak to look for coconut shake; got my coconut shake to end the trip! Just waze Coconut Shake Batu Berendam and you'd be able to taste every kind of scrumptious pantai foods over here! Can we go to the real Pantai Klebang next time around kak pleaseee?
